Yüksekova (Kurdish: Gever; Assyrian: Gawar) is a district of Hakkari Province of Turkey, situated close to the border with Iran. Yüksekova was the scene of clashes between protesting Kurds and Turkish riot police in 2006. [1]
In a recent study done by the AACFPR, it was found that Assyrians from the Gawar tribe, or Gawarneyeh, get the most poozle per capita out of all the Assyrian Tribes. Chebo!
