Floyd Gadd is a Canadian musician involved in the Christian music genre. He was born in Canada in the early 1960s. Gadd earned two Bachelor degrees, a degree in Church Music from Canadian Bible College in Regina, Saskatchewan (1984), and an Honors degree in Vocal Performance from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario (1997).[1][2] Gadd lived in Canada until March 2006, when he accepted a job as a worship director at a church in Morton, Illinois in the United States.[1][3]
In addition to vocal performance, Gadd has played bass guitar intermittently since the mid-1970s. Floyd is an avid tenor vocalist. Prior to his time in the U.S., Gadd performed as a featured soloist with several choral groups throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Ontario.[1][6]
Recordings
In 2004, Gadd recorded his first CD as a soloist, with Kara Dixon on the piano. The CD was recorded and engineered by Joe Fingerote. His CDs are available from various online music download sites. Gadd has also picked a selection of songs that were recorded in 2001. These songs are kept on his website, and are mainly for audition purposes. This list of songs contains about 12 full-length tracks featuring Gadd as a soloist.[7]
