The European Republicans Movement (Movimento Repubblicani Europei, MRE) of Italy was a small center left liberal party.

It was part of The Olive Tree coalition. The party emerged from a left-wing tendency of the Italian Republican Party (PRI), when they joined the House of Freedoms. Its leader was Luciana Sbarbati. MRE elected one MEP in 2004 as part of the United in the Olive Tree ticket. In 2006 it formed The Olive Tree alliance with the Democrats of the Left and Democracy is Freedom – Daisy, which won 220 out of 630 deputies in the 2006 elections as part of the wider coalition The Union.

MRE became part of the Democratic Party at its founding congress on 14 October 2007.
