Deskati (Δεσκάτη) is a municipality in the Grevena Prefecture, Greece. Population 5,066 (2001).

Coordinates: 39°55′N, 21°48′E

Deskati is a place which is famous for an event that happens at the end of Spring. Its' name is "Andromana". More specifically, men manage to step on each other's shoulders and create a big castle with their bodies. This event happens ONLY in Deskati and another place in Spain where they have the so- called "Castillas".

The occupation of the people there is based mostly on farms as well as the caltivation of tobacco. The quality of tobacco is excellent.

The temperatures of the place may be around 10 C - 25 C in the summer and 0-15 in the winter time.

A beautiful place to visit in Deskati is its "katafigio" which is located at the mountain "Kamvounia" Katafigio serves food, drinks and sometimes especially in the summer time accommodates people. Around the area of "katafigio" there is long path about 5 kilometers which passes in the forest and after about five hours walk it can lead you in the town.

Deskati is a very quiet place with warm hearted people.
