Cyril of Scythopolis (525-558)- Christian monk and priest, historian of monastic life in Scythopolis (Palestine) in the early years of Christianity (6th century A.D.). Described seven lives of Palestinian saint monks after his arrival to the monastery of New Laura in 555.[1]

His book remains one of the famous sources of that time monastic life.[2]
