Cucumerunio websteri websteri is a freshwater mussel, endemic to the North Island of New Zealand. It is found in gritty, sandy mud in lakes and streams.

The shell is large and elongated, with subparallel dorsal and ventral margins. The sculpture is strongly radiate ridged with blister-like nodulation.

The colour of the periostracum is dark green to olive-brown, internally bluish-white and nacrous, with yellowish-brown areas.

The height is up to 39 mm, length 81 mm, and thickness 20 mm.
