Christopher Martin (born c. 1582) was one of the forty-one Pilgrims who signed the Mayflower Compact on November 11, 1620, during the trip across the Atlantic Ocean from England to North America. Martin was a merchant by trade, from what was then the small settlement of Billericay,[1] which was two miles from what was at the time, the local administration centre of Great Burstead in Essex, England. He died at Plymouth Rock (later part of Massachusetts) on January 8, 1621.
