Charles James Correll (February 2, 1890 – September 26, 1972) was an American radio comedian, best known for his work on the Amos 'n' Andy show with Freeman S. Gosden. Correll voiced the central character of Andy Brown, along with various supporting characters. His son, Charles Correll Jr. also went on to become an actor.
In 1977, Carrol was inducted in the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame along with Gosden.[1]
