Bucknell is a "village" and civil parish in the Cherwell district of Oxfordshire , England . According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 249. The "village" is situated about 2½ miles north-west of Bicester . In 1300 the Lord of the Manor of Bucknell was Sir Robert d'Amory, father of Roger, Lord d'Amory .
