Bhavani is in Erode district Tamil Nadu, India. It lies at the confluence of Kaveri river and Bhavani river. Sangameswarar Temple built at the confluence of these rivers, is a pilgrimage and tourism spot of Tamil Nadu government. Bhavani also known as Carpet city, as the leading business of the town is carpet export to European countries.

Bhavani is about 12 miles away from Erode railway station and nearly an hour drive from Coimbatore. Stanley reservoir also known as Mettur Dam is 32 miles from Bhavani. Nearest railway station is in Erode and airport Coimbatore.

Politics

Bhavani assembly constituency is part of Gobichettipalayam (Lok Sabha constituency).3
