HostelsFollowing are the hostels accommodating thousands of students.
In boys hostels one cubicle room, that is good enough for 1 person, is usually occupied by 3 persons and in girls hostels the figure is 4 girls per room; one mattress is shared by two girls. The lack of hostel facilities is a serious impediment in the growth of the university. Some quarters are of the view that over crowding in hostels is promoting homosexuality and lesbianism. Staff HiringAdvertisements are placed in the prominent newspaers whenever staff has to be hired. The short listed candidates are invited for interview by selection board. The shortlisting criteria does not give any weightage to the professional experience other than that of teaching. The current Vice Chancellor, Dr. Muhammad Zafarullah was hired as Assistant Professor without a single day's teaching experience but the practice of giving weightage to industry experience has been stopped due to unexplicable reason due to some vested interests.
