The BBC Climate Change Experiment is a BOINC project lead by Oxford University with several partners including the UK Met Office, the BBC, the Open University and Reading University. It is the Transient coupled model of the Climateprediction.net project.

The Climateprediction.net article is a more complete article about this Distributed computing project.

Participants can join teams. This does not enable them to work together on a task but teams can provide a support network and also encourages competition.

Results will continue to be collected for some time. New participants are, however, now being directed to join climateprediction.net instead.

The follow up television program will be towards the end of January 2007.
