Adam Steven Ficek1of Polish origin, is the drummer for the London rock band Babyshambles. He joined the band in January 2005, following the departure of Gemma Clarke. Prior to joining Babyshambles, Ficek used to teach drum lessons in schools, including the Knights Templar School in Baldock and Sir John Lawes School[1], both in Hertfordshire and played drums for The White Sport.

Adam also drums and sings with the Mains Ignition collectivecitation needed and has played vibes, piano and drums on two crossover albums with various musicians on the London jazz scene.citation needed

Roses, Kings, Castles

Ficek has been working on a side project, Roses, Kings, Castles, since 2007.2

It was initially set up as a formal creative feed for Babyshambles, and a platform to build and air his musical ideas. "It's an outlet for putting stuff out, just demos that I've been working on", states Ficek.3

The recordings are initially demo quality, with all instruments played by Adam.

Roses, Kings, Castles has released a single called 'Sparkling Bootz' it was released in April 2008. The second single, 'Entroubled' was released on September 8th 2008 and the third single, 'Horses' is due for release on December 7th 2008.

The debut album, titled Roses, Kings, Castles was released on September 22nd 2008.
