The Abyssinian Genet (Genetta abyssinica) is a carnivorous mammal, related to civets and linsangs. It is one of 14 species of genets in the genus Genetta, which are found through Africa, Europe and parts of the Middle East.

The Abyssinian Genet is endemic to Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Sudan, and Djibouti,1 and inhabits moorland, grasslands and sub-desert areas.
