Captain Abner Howell (August 15, 1744 – 1797) served as a Captain in the Third Company Third Battalion, Washington County, Pennsylvania, Militia during the American Revolutionary War.
By 1792, Abner Howell and his family moved to Mason County, Kentucky, where his farm became part of Bracken County, Kentucky (Braken County was organized in 1796 from parts of Mason and Campbell counties. He died in Bracken County in 1797).
