Eighteen year old Law student Abiola Bashorun is an ex-beauty queen.
In 2006, she was the surprise winner of Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, beating off competition from favourite Tienepre Oki. Baroshun's project as MBGN was Sickle cell awareness - she was inspired after losing a friend to the disease - and she spent most of her reign organising workshops and seminars on the issue. As reigning MBGN, she also represented Nigeria at Miss World 2006.
A devout christian, Bashroun used a tenth of her one million naira winnings to pay her tithe in church. Her main ambition is to become a human rightslawyer.
