• After weeks of rumours regarding Bernie Ecclestone discussing plans to hold the British Grand Prix at Donington Park from 2010, this was finally confirmed by the FIA on July 4, 2008.¹
• On September 7, 2008, Bernie Ecclestone talked with team principals before the Belgian Grand Prix about the very likely return of the United States Grand Prix for 2010.²

If the calender holds nineteen Grands Prix as expected, this will tie the 2005 season for the most races until 2011, when twenty races will be held.
