The 1962 Canadian Football League season is considered to be the 9th season in modern-day Canadian football , although it is officially the 5th Canadian Football League season.

The Canadian Football Hall of Fame was established in Hamilton .
The 50th Grey Cup game, nicknamed "The Fog Bowl", was postponed due to fog on Saturday, December 1st . The final 9 minutes and 29 seconds was played on Sunday as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats , 28-27 to win their third championship in four years.
