The þættir (singular þáttr) were short stories written mostly in Iceland during the 13th and 14th centuries.

Íslendinga þættir

The short tales of Icelanders or Íslendinga þættir are short prose narratives written in Iceland in the 13th and 14th centuries. Many of them relate the story of an Icelander who travels abroad to the court of a Norwegian king.
