Åsta Gudbrandsdatter (c. 975/980 – c. 1020/1030) was the mother, from her marriage to Harald Grenske (Grenski), of Norwegian king Olaf II , renowned as Olaf the Holy (995-1030, reigned 1015 to 1028).
From her second marriage to Sigurd Syr , she became the mother of another Norwegian king, Harald III , famous in the Heimskringla as Harald Hardråde (1015-1066, reigned 1047 to 1066). Åsta's father was Gudbrand Kula from Oplandene , according to the sagas . Åsta may have been baptised at Ringerike by Olav Tryggvason , circa 998.
